Ann Marie Shea is an artist based in her hometown of Sydney, Nova Scotia. Painting has been a passion of hers since a young age. Mainly a self-taught artist, she pursues her love of Art by taking various workshops, and studying with local and international artists. She enjoys exploring the mediums of watercolour, acrylic and oil. She recently completed a mentorship program with artist Brienne M. Brown.

Using her own photography, she can be found almost daily working on her painting skills in her studio. She has recently also began painting 'en plein air', enjoying the freedom of simplification while painting outside.

Ann Marie was feature artist at the IODE Fine Art Show in Sydney in 2014. Her paintings have been shown in art galleries in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, and can be found in many private and corporate collections in both Canada and the United States.
